MUM: You know... I haven't taught Form 3 History for a whole year... I must be rusty already...
CHRISTINE: Oh no worries. You'll catch up in no time. (:
MUM: .... No. How about you read the first chapter of your sejarah book and then you tell it to me? To refresh my memory?
CHRISTINE: Eheh. No thanks. I'll wait till next year.
MUM: ... Just the first chapter, I need to refresh my memory.
CHRISTINE: -picks up mum's copy from the table and flips through- OHMAGAWD THE FIRST CHAPTER IS LIKE FOUR CHAPTERS ZOMGZOMGZOMGWHUUUUUT-----------
MUM: [silent]
CHRISTINE: -pushes book firmly away- I AM NOT READING THAT. NUH UH. NO WAY HOZAY.
MUM: You don't want to help your mother?
CHRISTINE: But I know you're so good at it already... -smiles brightly-
MUM: [the look] Go and read the first chapter. Now. And come back later to tell me what it's about.
And I was sent away.
And I know I can't simply skip through the whole thing because my mum knows *EXACTLY* what it's about and I bet you she's probably aaaaalready 'refreshed' her memory and will know exaaaaactly what I did not read and etc.
But luckily I managed to get away with reading the first two pages. I said the name: Maharaja Mikado Meiji! and ran away with her shouting, "AND WHAT DID HE DO/ACCOMPLISH?" after me. Eheh.
History is gonna suck next year.
Exactly two more weeks till school reopens.
Feeling ambivalent once more.
Lalala.
